  11. Skyland Equipment was formed in December 2011 by brothers Barry and Mark Hughes. We established a tree surgery business in 1995 after each obtaining a NCH (arb) qualifications. We proceeded to establish our own customer base and over the years have worked with high profile companies such as Aintree Race Course, Lang O'Rouke, George Whimpey Homes, Bupa, Urban Splash and Balfour Beatty as well as working in the utility sector for Manweb and United utilities. We have also worked with, and have a good relationship with, many local tree surgery companies. From early on we recognised the difficulty in obtaining arb equipment locally. As well as not being able to obtain daily consumables, there is no opportunity to try out new equipment prior to purchase. There have not been any shops that have supplied the arb industry in the Liverpool area until now; Skyland Equipment aims to fill this gap in the market to support local and international need for the arb, forestry and landscaping industry. Their contribution to this years raffle is the following: 1 Kelly Kettle Scout Ultrafast £30 Skyland gift voucher Sterling GTC 46m length of 12mm rope

  15. I was referring to the solid mountain top covers that lift up, not the roller tops
  16. I think those things are asking for trouble. I'd go for a mountain top personally. Not necessarily that much secure but I don't think they look quite inviting to theives, certainly not from a distance or a drive past. As regards alarming, anythings possible!
  17. Don't know who you could possibly mean Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  20. werewolfs are brilliant, in fact i'm about to order a new pair. I got loads of life out of my first pair, over 2 years and they were comfy the whole time. Comfortable on spikes also. I don't see the point of getting a pair of boots with no chainsaw protection in them when these are available with.
  21. Thank you! Have fixed the problem. Not sure how that happened.
  22. ones a bosch i think and ones a hitachi, i would need to check the exact specs on them. I have never used either other than plugging in and squeezing the trigger to check they worked. An old boy gave me them as a tip on a tree job, they have sat in my garage ever since. If you're passing Stowmarket you're welcome to either of them Save
  23. i have 2 electric chainsaws, one of them is a lot quieter than the other. i'd let you have one if you were nearer. can't seem to even give the bloody things away
