  1. changed the forecast again here. Supposed to snow all night long now. Originally it was supposed to have finished by now. Supposed to be picked up my girlfriend from Stanstead tonight at 23:30, now that flights been delayed by an hour and they are adding extra time to it constantly
  2. It ok, theres a pub next door. I'll just take him there if he becomes too unbearable
  3. I've gone away from freelancing and have set up by myself. I'm getting work in but it doesn't cover bills. My worry is were I live there are a few companies already set up so am I flogging a dead horse? Before getting into this industry I spoke to a few people and was told there's plenty of work around. I'm not expecting to make millions but I need to earn so I can pay bills and support my family. Surely that's not too much to ask of any job? 7 years mate, thats the time they say it takes to establish a company. The people you speak to who are all busy have probably been going a while.
  4. Straight into freelancing from the get go is a big big ask mate. It takes a few years to get up to a speed where you are making companies money and being able to charge decent money for doing so. Are you getting repeat work from the same customers?
  5. its very early days mate, whats your climbing level at?
  6. Is your work freelancing or do you mean you’re not getting enough of your own jobs?
  7. got to be a market for something like this
  8. Yep...not ashamed of it. After all, you can't knock in a 6" nail with a toffee hammer
  9. Arbortec are good but try them on first, they are an unusual fit for me
  10. Have you tried Niall at the real firewood company?
  11. nothing has been changed in the past 1-2 weeks that would affect this, i dont know why they are not getting to you. I checked your settings and they all look ok
  12. even if you are the owner of both companies? I'm sure they'd find something to say about that
  13. And of course the equipment never crossed over at all
  14. Odd. You should hardly need extra tacky oil at all in this weather. Must be an issue somewhere.
  15. Thats fair enough. I bought a trailer when my LDV disintegrated. It got me buy and there was really no where I didnt take it, but it was more difficult at times for sure. Specially reversing up steep drives with a full load on.
  16. I always found a trailer to be a pain in the arse for log deliveries. A transit size vehicle is perfect if you are selling loose loads
  17. I hope this cold snap is bringing in the sales for you guys. Certainly chilly here but no snow as yet
