  1. Yep, always drop a file size. More like the last quarter than the half way though. I been known to drop to as low as an 020 file on a 3/8 chain before
  2. Maybe a little bit on the radical side, but I used to use....nothing!
  3. Whats the biggest you are going to be cutting? The 441 is a lot of saw.
  4. Mate, I’m sorry!!! Been working through a massive backlog and was actually planning on emailing you shortly for a recap and solid quote
  5. linked to my previous post, posting on facebook isn't going to get much of a link to your site. Posting on your site however, then sharing it to facebook so people can click through to your site is the way to do it in my opinion.
  6. Pretty much spot on. I tell my website customers to spend less time posting on facebook and more time posting on your own blogs. All these social media outlets are free for the most part so should be utilised, but time is short for most people, decide which ones to use and prioritise how much time you spend on each....but always put your own site first.
  7. Yep the employment section was read only, and probably was a better option. However i'm currently developing a dedicated employment section on arbtalk for arborist and tree surgery jobs which will be a set up more akin to the classifieds section. People will be able to pick and choose which section they want to advertise in then
  8. tricky one. What is the machine, and would keeping it as a hire out machine be an option?
  9. 20 years ago this thread would have been full of hedge porn. Sadly it’s mostly extinct now thanks to the internet. the young ones won’t even know what I’m talking about

  12. My sugi light on my 461 lasted me about 2 years! Not sure the sugi bar I had on my topper was a light version....but yes, they are worth the money in my opinion.
  13. A lot of the americans run 16" but on a ported saw. I think 14" should be the maximum you'd want to put on a stock saw
  14. You can set up your own store here also if you have time https://arbtalk.co.uk/classifieds/
  15. I’d love to see a picture of the hinge, although with the best hinge in the world they still would have been fighting against the odds to some degree
  16. i'd imagine you have quite a few quids worth sitting there if you only had time to break it all and list it properly somewhere!
  17. They were rocking it, watch it again. One of the main factors why it snapped off the hinge probably
  18. More likely the dealer made the chains up and put them in the first box he come across. Stihl have their own chain factory and have done for years.
  19. should work mate. Perhaps try a different browser or device?
  20. Spot on. Last thing you want on road duty is a wet blanket
