  2. Or this one which is a bit further and charge
  3. Got this one but right nearby but only accepts certain chippings.
  4. Awesome Reg, great locations. How tall?
  5. Fell it! Got to be worth a couple quid there David
  6. Nope, you can't do that...you always have to invoice for the vat unless you are selling a zero rated item
  7. Surely you are losing out more when purchasing fencing materials than if you were vat registered?
  8. You won't go far wrong with a Stihl 261. Or drop @shavey a message and discuss his equivelant range of Dolmar saws
  9. The STIHL chainsaw promotion is back by popular demand where users can receive STIHL accessories worth up to £87 when purchasing selected cordless and petrol chainsaws. With the promotion running until 14th December 2018, any customer purchasing either a cordless MSA 160 C-BQ or MSA 200 C-BQ chainsaw, as well as a petrol powered MS 180 or MS 181, before this date will receive a pair of clear contrast goggles, a filing kit and ADVANCE MS Ergo gloves free of charge. For users looking for a bigger saw, purchasing the petrol powered MS 211, MS 231 or the MS 251 saws will gift customers with ADVANCE MS Ergo gloves, a filing kit, a forestry axe and a pair of clear contrast goggles. All of the chainsaw models within the promotion are designed for domestic use, ideal for general maintenance tasks such as maintaining and felling small tress, through to cutting firewood in preparation for the winter months. The MSA 160 C-BQ and MSA 200 C-BQ form part of STIHL’s Pro Cordless range and combines high torque and excellent cutting capacity with impressive run times. 11. Its because you live in Wales! ? I’ve had similar problems in Cornwall
  12. Why wouldn’t you want to he vat registered for fencing?
  13. Welcome Gordon. I have a new tip site directory going live in a matter of days. Would you like to submit a listing?
  14. Maths don't add up. The apps would cost a minimum of £3000 to make, and that would be just the initial costs. Then everytime apple updates its iOS the app will need further updating. Selling it at £1, after apple took their bite of the cherry would leave me about 63p per app sold. I am considering a donate button on the listings, although I doubt it would be used. Ultimately its all a part of the bigger picture in adding value to Arbtalk. It would be nice if it could pay for itself though as I am considerably out of pocket on this little project!
  15. I see your logic Mike, but doubt it would actually work out that way, not on a big scale at least
  16. I previously had my insurance with them. Easy company to deal with and competitively priced. Never had to claim though, thats where the most valuable feedback lies I guess
  17. Just 2 at the moment. Hopefully will get a lot more when we go live in a couple days
  18. Pretty big for an Elm...theres still a few about!
  19. Welcome to the forum Neil. I am actually about to launch a tip site directory for tree surgeons if you'd be interested in a listing?
  20. Done plenty of stuff similar in the past. The point is, it doesn’t present a great image to be displaying. Looks a little cowboyish
  21. A universally agreed sign language for tree workers would be good
  22. I’ll drop you a private message
  23. Loads of threads on advertising here to read through. Local parish mags are always popular. A good web presence is key these days though, I can certainly help you with that part. Then there’s obviously Facebook although I’m not convinced by it, lots of time wasters
