  1. not connected to chainsaws but relative to things revolving and going wrong, at Santa pod in the mid 70's I had the pleasure of having a sit down with Don "Big Daddy" Garlits who told me of the famous flywheel explosion that severed part of his leg, as a young petrolhead trying to build cars faster and faster on a budget that wouldn't buy a decent set of tires for any car he had, I was running an aluminium bellhousing, his rather graphic tale convinced me to run a purpose built scatter shield, built by the late Alan "bootsie" Herridge and about ten or more years later I had a flywheel detonate around the 125mph mark during a "street race" the damage completely disintegrated the flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, and even the input shaft on the box, but that shield contained it all. the moral of the story, never trust any spinning mechanism without the appropriate protective covers, you might get away with it more than once when it goes south, but that one time you don't might be catastrophic, take a look at the photo of the Garlits explosion. this was before you sat with the motor behind you, you literally straddled the transmission and prayed it held together. these days the structural integrity of these machines is off the scale compared to those early days.
  2. I too wasn't aware of any 12 year old girls, can anybody confirm that, other than hearsay or supposition, and for the record, I don't really give a feck if people went to the island for sex, or if the worlds richest pimp procured girls for sex with leading figures for political, monetary or any other reason, if the girls were aware of why they were there,[and I suspect in most cases they did, without doubt] "play stupid games,, win stupid prizes", but if they were raped, or made to do anything against their will then that changes things, and especially if they were underage then those knowingly involved should be brought to account, no matter who they are, and the world should be told, who fecking cares if their reputation is destroyed, not me,and plenty ofothers I'll wager. but it appears some people think if they say it often enough they can convince others that Trump is up to his neck in it, he may well as many others have visited Epsteins island, maybe he even got laid there, maybe not, who knows for certain, well maybe Epstein did, but he's dead, maybe Ghislaine Maxwell does, maybe not, but sure as feck a bloke on an arborist forum can't be certain either, unless of course he's involved in it too. which is a bit far fetched to say the least.
  3. I like it, ,,,a lot, I have used one in the past, not identical to yours but it was a genuine husqvarna too, do you intend to put her to work? I'm rebuilding a Stihl 090 currently and really looking forwards to getting it in some wood.
  4. Anybody interested in the phenomenon that is Donald Trump might be interested in this read, I expect those both for and those who aren't fans will no doubt find something of interest, especially the references to politicians a little closer to home. 5. grouping criminals and fentanyl and tranq users together with homeless vets is a pretty low stunt, even more so just to yet again have a dig at Trump. this is an example of fentanyl/tranq "zombies" I wouldn't wanna see them around my part of the world either.
  6. too much indian bolswick in the oil pump? is it your saw, or one you saw in somebodies shed and decided to claim it as they haven't used it for a while.
  7. 4 pages,,, and then this! feckin' priceless.
  8. I would love to do something like these beautiful tables, but alas my cottage is very small, and a smaller one would not have the impact or be able to show the natural features of the slab to as good an affect. but they are all great examples.
  9. I became curious , not just in this particular instance, but others that have been posted lately, so I found this,, Just a moment... QUILLBOT.COM apart from the rather obvious clue in the name of the site, it also has a facility in addition to judging whether ai is present, a means of making an ai post or question, more human like. which kinda defeats it's own purpose somewhat.
  10. That's the way Stubby, lure them in with the chance of an easy victory,,,, then unleash hell. no point getting older if ya don't get wiser.
  11. @Stubby please tick the squares with indian bolswick to prove you're not a robot.

  14. These ai generated posts seem to be becoming more frequent, I have wondered sometimes when I see a new post from a new poster usually regarding some kind of problem I automatically regard it as ai as is usually pointed out by others far knowledgeable than I on these matters. It must make it hard for anyone who is genuinely looking for help from the residents. my only experience of ai is from those infuriating courier chat bot/helpline/customer service things that all ask the exact same questions and seem unable to understand the problem you contacted them to solve. is there a likelihood that in the future these abominations will simply ignore humans and just create pseudo problems that they can answer themselves with no physical experience of the subject? on a lighter note was terminator just a film,,, or a prophecy
  15. you stated "I've been toying with the idea of getting one for pleasure use, but would like a residential mooring" the definition of residential regarding moorings is,, Residential moorings, also known as liveaboard or long-term moorings, are specifically designated spots where boat owners can legally live on their vessels for extended periods. These moorings are distinct from leisure moorings, which permit only occasional overnight stays I gave you info on "residential" moorings which is what you asked for. but after your little toys outta yer pram rant, find the fecker yerself. twat.
  16. Ok, lets start again with ,, what do you class as a "residential" mooring? do you intend on living on the boat as your only home? what do you class as a "private" mooring? as the broads authority control those also as mostly they are connected to the main waterways, therefore you will have to pay all the relevant tolls and abide by their rules and restrictions.in addition to all charges made by the marina or private mooring. there's plenty of discussions on the net about permanent occupation on the broads and it's associated problems, below are some, Attention Required! | Cloudflare FORUM.NORFOLKBROADSNETWORK.COM Liveaboard on the Norfolk Broads | YBW Forum FORUMS.YBW.COM As the title says I am looking for a reasonably priced marina on the Broads...
  17. Broads authority run the show, and will bend you over at every opportunity, I contemplated it once when I was more "Nomadic" they are known as "live aboard,s" in that area and are thought of as the same as pikeys in a lay-by, and sometimes that's exactly what they are, there's plenty of mooring available [at a price] in various marinas some have full electricity hook up , and water and often decent clubhouses but they are generally not full occupancy 365 days a year. most live aboards roam from public mooring to public mooring and are governed [moved on ] by river police, many of the riverside pubs and restaurants charge for temporary mooring while you use their pub, the whole shitshow is organised to cream the visitors for every penny possible. combined with the almost regular discharges of raw sewage when it rains or any other opportunity, and the rising crime rates, and drunken behavior of some visitors, it's not somewhere I would consider any more.
