  1. one of my exes asked that usual question, while waiting for the kettle to boil, "does my bum look big in this" I pride myself in my honesty so answered the best I could,, "well, Yes, but to be fair it is a small kitchen" like I said,, one of my exes.
  2. I got lucky and found one of these, however it came with the wrong bar and chain, it should run a 404, but this had a 325 fitted. the bar is an old roller tip [not a sprocket tip] and while it fits and oils fine it's not suited to 404 chain. it looks like a universal fitment of some kind as its got multiple holes for adjustment and oiling. the slot is 9.5 . so I require a bar that will fit a Jonsereds XF, for a 404 063 chain somewhere between 16"-20" although at 110cc I reckon it will pull a tad longer. I can make a chain to suit once I have a bar. cant find much relating to bar mount pattern and despite having more than a few bars I ain't got one that fits right on. any help would be greatly appreciated so I can get it in some wood.
  3. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter, from the local WalMart: Dear Mrs. Harris: Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion, in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to, ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras: June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. August 14: Moved a, 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while, loudly humming the, 'Mission Impossible' theme. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his, 'Madonna Look' using different sizes of funnels. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed; 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room? And last, but not least: 16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile; then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.
  4. Agreed, but before I hunt out some Taste, here's a little snippet from Leafhound front man,and cousin of Mike, Peter French, the family resemblance is amazing, they could be brothers.Talking about the the reforming of Leafhound.
  5. close, but no cigar, I'll not keep you in suspense,, it's Mike Halls, Leafhound guitarist, on the Growers of Mushrooms album. going through some old hotrod stuff and found a pic he sent me of the Ford Model A hot rod he has, he's in California somewhere, and as far as I know, still playing blues. and here's another from them, from back then,, enjoy.
  6. whilst not universally accepted it was often suggested 5.56 / 223 was adopted in Vietnam by the US forces as it was less lethal than the7.62 nato round, it was figured if you killed one of the enemy it never slowed the rest down, whereas the less lethal 223 caused a non fatal wound and resulted in the wounded having to be carried, thus slowing their movements. in addition to the fact that more ammo for the same overall weight could be carried by combatants. not much comfort to the tragic outcome of this latest scenario, but we don't know all the facts, if it was a jacketed bullet or a soft nose, has it been confirmed as 223, as the H&K MP5 used by UK police is available in both 223/5.56 and 9x19. if the bullet came apart either upon exiting the perp, it's likely to be unstable and not necessarily going to follow its original path, then it passed through what we're told was a heavy door with the end result that would have been hard to predict especially under extreme conditions experienced by the armed officers. there is also the possibility of secondary fragmentation, ie debris from the door. I expect the investigation will study all scenarios intensely.
  7. So were back in business, electrics all sorted and made a few upgrades too. got the little McCulloch sorted, and got a McCuloch Pro Mac 6 and that's now running too. the 350 Husqvarna that I was not particularly impressed with has been rebuilt and I have to say as given some decent reports here has been given a second chance,, I have to say it's a lively little thing, and very light and well balanced. and I picked up an Alpina 70, and there's a Poulan on it's way to me soon. I may have to build more shelves.
