  5. many years ago I had a good friend,a workmate both on tools, and on doors, a larger than life character, massive giant of a man, strong as an ox, loved life, friends, music, had a sense of humor about every aspect of the world, got told he would not see 40 due to terminal illness , he passed at 37, he was still telling jokes 10 hours before he slipped away. I guess a little of his persona rubbed off onto those that worked with him. I'm 72, my humor is still present, my memory,,, not so much

  7. Never had a dog who fecked me over, never had a dog who fecked off with a so called mate, never had a dog that gave me a hard time 'cos I spoke to or stroked another dog. never had a dog that crashed the car, or moved my stuff and then denied it. never had a dog that moaned 'cos I stayed to finish a job. I'll take the company of a dog any day,all day, shut your dog and your girlfriend in the boot of the car, come back 4 hours later and open the boot,, see which one is pleased to see you.

  10. I like my chinstrap to stop the helmet from falling off my head in normal movement, but not so secure that it wrenches my neck if I catch it on something. I have to say I used to hate wearing it at first, but a swipe from a bough soon changes yer outlook.
  11. There is more than just one poster on here that could be classed as having an obsession about another individual, and more than one poster fanning the flame to keep the fire going.any of you could ignore, scroll on, or just keep on fueling that furnace.
  12. I have a modern example of that, very useful, and less effort for me in my old age to use than the usual type.

  17. I seriously considered replacing my old battle scarred Zetor 6748 fitted with, winch, crane, loader, forks, and anything else euro 8, with one of these just because the old Zetor was a bit overkill for just pottering around the yard and close proximity, initially it looked good but after a while issues such as mentioned here started to surface and I decided the old zetor was a more reliable bet, so I kept it and bought a garden tractor with a tow hitch instead, just for moving smaller gear around. I can mend both of those without a laptop plugged into them.
