I'd have to cut 60mm off it to make it fit in the hearth then the fan would hit

Just need it to get a bit colder now then ill give them a try and see if i think they are worth while?

I have one on top of my stove which is in a recessed fireplace and I think it makes a difference to getting the hot air out into the room and not just heating the recess.

Fan works a treat, cant grumble for the money, i was thinking of getting one anyway so certainly saved in getting them at this price.

they are great fun to play with, maybe keep young hands away to avoid accidents.

Anyone got any updates on these?

I bought two and they are not very good.

After using them a while, im scepital about how much they actually work anyway but now one has stopped working unless the fire is very hot, progressiley getting worse, think it might pack in altogether soon and the other is going the same way.

Mine's still turning, not sure it makes much difference to room heat though.

 

3 year guarantee if you kept the receipt.

 

Otherwise the TEG is held in by 2 screws and replaceable if it has got too hot.
