Better go on strike for more pay like the junior doctors!

 

They are looking to cut their 13 hour day to a realistic level while not losing money, which is a different thing I think. I would rather be seen by someone who is happy in their work and in full possession of their faculties not worn out and stressed when I go in for my next operation thank you.

Speaking as someone who has enjoyed good health (and taken it for granted) all my life and just been hit with a potentially life changing problem all I can say is thank goodness for the NHS,and its doctors and nursing staff.

I have just had three short spells in hospital and the level of care I received was exemplary.

The NHS staff at junior level seem to be under tremendous pressure and we need to look after them and encourage them to stay in the profession.

As I say, I never gave it a thought when I was well, but now with old age creeping up I cannot imagine the consequences of further deterioration in health care provision.
