An Old Barrel

Mick had his inventive head on and made me a fuel caddy out of an old barrel.

Cut one in half, welded a plate in there complete with filler tube and pickup pipe, fitted a 12volt pump with 4mts of supersoft rubber hose and trigger, battery tray and welded a bit of 12mm diameter bar around the top to get rid of the sharp edge, drain plug and jobs a goodun :thumbup1: No more cans and funnels on the smaller jobs

These things are great if there is now bowser on the job but do leak back making a mess of the motor and a barrel on its side is a pain to anchor down.

A couple of handholds cut out and lined with the round bar (similar to a beer barrel) might be handy for dragging it around. Ace job - looks fantastic!

Good call, this is the mk1 so they can go on the mk2 :thumbup1:

are they quite on the ball with red down there

Never know when they can turn up, I keep the white in an old bunded 5000ltr waste oil tank and they even tested that for kero content. They are right up to speed on all the tricks.

Very smart Bob. (and Mick)

No going back to cans, funnels and drums now Pete:001_smile: The lads have spotted it so Mick is going to knock up a batch of them and will include a few mods like lifting handles ( cheers monkeybusiness)

It reaches ok but I may get a slightly longer hose for the one that gets used with the tractor.
