There was a case a few years ago where someone took a tank for a drunken joyride, US somewhere I think - cops couldn't do anything about it either apart from keep the roads ahead clear.

Just thinking about it, given the choice and if you're going to loose you license anyway (I am guessing they'll loose their license?), it is a great story to tell rather than "Had a couple too many and drove home in the company car"

Edit:

Watching again, hilarious old dear walking nonchalantly by in the last second of the video, seen it all before and not bothered even to stop to see whats happening

Ex US army tank commander( no mean feat to achieve that in any western army) , about to lose his house business etc alcohol and drugs played a part.
Tank was bellied out on the central reservation concrete barrier, oh and the police shot and killed him. So yeah they did do something about it. He did a lot of property damage but did not harm anyone in the process.

What is wrong with you?

You've been given an answer, I'm not on his side and I'm not condemning him as there are not enough facts nor has he been charged with anything. If things change then so will my position on him, that's how justice works.

If you are so sure he's a paedophile then back yourself by writing to him informing him that you know he's a paedophile and send copies to several broadsheets as well. However you won't because your a gutless keyboard warrior who thinks he can spout off about everything with impunity, call their bluff and it won't happen.

You daft old bugger 😂😂😂£12 million payment is what makes charges go away , stripped of all titles ?? 🤷‍♂️
Shagging a 17 year old trafficked for that very purpose 😞

The impunity or anonymity the internet offers is indeed a blessing for some, mind you wasn’t I accused of being too open recently by you and the blagger, even ludicrous talk of security risks from terrorists.
Anyway good to know where you stand on sex trafficking 😞

Not one bit of evidence there.

You never asked, you made an assumption. Now back up your words with actions, get those letters written or are you a coward?

£12 million don’t matter how you look at it is a lot of money for someone to pay out if they are innocent, wouldn’t you agree sailor boy.
I don’t need to write letters to anyone, he’s been dealt with in case you haven’t been watching the news.
Like I say it’s good to know where you stand on your old navy buddy shagging trafficked teenage girls 😞 you are doing a better job than I could of letting people know your views on Andrew 👍

I finally got a spare bit of time to watch this video.  And it is genuinely interesting...............

That reminds me of this discussion, you never did respond in detail.

Most importantly, you are discussing the issues with me and the Arbtalk community like a grown-up.  I have no idea why so many people just resort to name calling.

I will respond in detail when I get a chance later.  All I will say for now is the casualty figures for Gaza all come from Hamas so I certainly don’t believe them.  Are you aware that some of the evidence they have shared with the world has been proved false?

The New York Times published a photo a while ago of an emaciated child who was supposedly starving to death in Gaza.  It turned out they were being treated in Italy for a wasting disease, and their well fed sibling had been cropped out of the photo.

Also I notice that the killing in Gaza has not stopped - Hamas are now killing fellow Palestinians.  And finally for now, are you aware that much of the aid that comes into Gaza is stolen by Hamas and sold to the highest bidder.  And then they blame Israel for lack of food and medicine.

Ok, so I think all that can be summarised as: Hamas are villains who can't be trusted. I don't disagree. I'd answer both your questions by: yes, I'm aware of what they're up to. They're terrorists.

"All I will say for now is the casualty figures for Gaza all come from Hamas so I certainly don’t believe them." -  So what would you estimate to be the true figure?

For the sake of argument, let's say they've exaggerated the death toll by 100%, (which I'd say is next to impossible given the international scrutiny of the situation). But still, that gives a ratio of ~23:1. That's not proportional. Not to mention the wide scale destruction of buildings and infrastructure. I see the IDF has demolished 1500 more since the ceasefire even.

Accepting of the fact that Hamas have provided dodgy evidence of war crimes and genocide. What then about all the other stuff in that report by the UN Commission? Most of it hasn't come from Hamas.

As a side thought, consider the resources that are available to Israel when it comes to generating propaganda. They're world leaders in IT, with huge wealth to fund it as well. They've probably got 1000s of people and AI working on propaganda. Compare that with the capabilities of their adversary.
