Yes all true I'd say, but he still made some very good observations and seemed to have an understanding of the problems that face working people to this day.

 

He was also a terrible husband and father by all accounts.

 

If you look at social economic models in Germany and Austria they have a lot of respect for him and often name streets and social housing developments after him because he inspired those countries to look after some of the less fortunate workers that could have been marginalised and left behind by their wealthy employers.

 

The idea being that if they take care of them to a point then they wouldn't turn to violent revolution or Communism.

Come on now Mark, it's all over and we've dodged a bullet.

 

The potential of a Marxist revolution has been averted, the possibility of plunging the UK back into the clutches of the vast, crippling, inefficiency of militant unions and nationalised industries, blackouts, 3 day working weeks, bins left piled on the streets... It's OK, it's passed, for the time being at least.

 

We can all just settle down and get on again now.... :thumbup1:
