I believe I did national service in 1968, was born in 1978, got a degree in Brazil and 'didn't go to high school, I'm English' despite high school (2006) in Wisconsin.

I know you have a loose grip on truth and a propensity to throw a lie out occasionally but you ain’t an MP or indeed the chancellor. 
National service in tbe UK ended in 1960 with I think the last batch being done in 63 FYI.
