So you know how it works and yet, still post misleading information, is that right?

"Leading to net zero"... with electricity prices dictated by gas... which are massively (and I'd say exclusively) influenced by Putin in Russia... and not how hard the wind blows in the north of Scotland.

What wind for the past ten days 🤷‍♂️

Any chance of an answer to your previous BS claims Blagger.

Whats misleading ?? I’ve posted facts again 🤷‍♂️

Manufacturing is down,we have the most expensive electricity in the world 🤷‍♂️are you stupid ?? Tell me what is not factually 100% correct about either of those two statements.

I'm no expert on global energy supply but that doesn't seem to be a prerequisite in this discussion.

I'd suggest that the reason that our electric is so expensive in the UK is because we're so reliant on natural gas, mainly from Russia. More expensive than France and Germay, as mentioned in the initial article. In the case of the former because they've had lots of nuclear for ages and in the later because they rapidly developed alternative energy sources when Putin kicked off in Ukraine. We were much less proactive for whatever reason.

So, UK electric isn't actually the most expensive in the world because of net zero targets. Quite the opposite I believe in fact. The sooner we move away from NG, and other fossil fuels, and build an energy infrastructure based on domestic renewable sources the better. For all the obvious reasons. If we could even start building some of that infrastructure, rather than letting China sell it all to us, it would do wonders for our flagging manufacturing industry as well. Win win win situation.

Oh yeah, not forgetting trying to reduce energy consumption in addition to cleaner sources. Relatively easy things like insulating houses, and reducing unnecessary car journeys.

Simples. And absolutely nothing to do with 'fighting age', whatever the hell that's about.

So.... if there is no wind blowing how are electricity prices jumping because of it?

Once again you are talking pure deflective BS

Renewables contributed how much over the past week or ten days ?

merely an observation SP. You can’t give any answers can you or proof of your claims.

“ fighting age” 🤷‍♂️ask SP its another obscure claim he made with zero evidence to back it up.
So renewables all the way eh 42

You do realise how little it has contributed in the last week to ten days don’t you ??
Net zero is according to you not increasing people’s bills or energy costs ??

So we are reliant on gas mainly from Russia are we ??
You do realise we need the correct grade of steel to manufacture the jackets, tps, monopolies etc ??

The machinery  and gearbox etc within the nacelle is not lubricated by fairy dust, you know that too ??

Im all for looking after the planet but you guys and unfortunately the current milliband led mongs are deluded as to the reality of what’s going on in the renewables game.
We will need oil and gas for well beyond our lifetimes, let’s obtain as much as we can from domestic sources.
Net zero is an ideology not a plan.
While you are at it 42 tell me where I can get a decent electric  4wd crew cab for sub 50k that will tow 3500kg and do at least 350mile on a single charge. I have a back up diesel generator for when the wind doesn’t blow and the sun doesn’t shine just like the past ten days or so up here, in particular once all those nasty gas powered stations have been closed to save the planet.

So in summary... an hour or so ago it "net Zero was generating and look at the electricity prices", and now "no net zero and look at the high electricity pries".. so which is it to be... or maybe... whether it is windy or not it has no bearing on the price of electricity at all? Make your mind up! It is all down to gas prices.

Still the new Government are meant to be looking at breaking that link... which will lead to lower prices. I know that you will choke on your morning coco-pop when you read that.
