As I get older I am less worried about dying than I used to be ....I have no fear of dying I just do not want to die yet ...my biggest fear is living too long , but not really sure how long is too long !!  some one once told me that retiring is a bit like going on holiday but you do not know how long for !!!  so difficult to budget and pace yourself !!!

I suppose the closer one gets to your expected life span (say 80 years) the less you feel you’ve been short changed if you die, you’re getting your money’s worth so to speak.

Whereas, as a younger man, with seemingly endless years ahead, the idea of death was terrifying.

Dunno, ask me on my Deathbed!

I think people are pissed off with living too long.

They get to 75 or whatever and think ‘that’s enough of that, pass the whisky for my cornflakes, I don’t give a toss anymore’

I will confirm or deny in 4 years Mick 😁

My dad always said dying doesn’t scare me but getting old does. The last thing he wanted was to be sat in a chair pissing himself not able to owt about it - he got his wish going suddenly at 61.

my opinion revolves around quality rather than quantity of life, once I don’t have quality of life I want putting down!

Sorry to hear about your dad but I think that about sums it up for most of us, well it does for me.

A UK-US joint operation, there are 2 elections  coming up remember.

Do you think it makes much of a difference to the voters? I wouldn't have thought that it does tbh.

Surely it doesn't matter who's in power, these decisions about war probably have feck all to do them.

They obviously know where they are and that they are causing problems, so in a way, they don't have many choices if they want to protect the shipping lanes. However the timing is at the discretion of the politicians, could have been last year, could have been next year, but.....
