Should they sack her for breaching ministerial code of conduct?

No.

They should review this ‘so called’ code which (anyone with any experience of civil service) knows full well, is designed by civil servants to ensure the perpetual protection of civil servants regardless of how incompetent, inept and ineffectual they may be.

Ask yourself,, is it the Minister that is responsible for departmental inefficiency or is the career civil servants as departmental heads?

What happens when (a long overdue) Ministrrial ‘shake up’ is attempted?

Apparently, it’s bullying....

Complete and utter garbage.

Personally I couldn't care either way. I'm just bored on a Saturday night.

I think she's a proper rotter though.

Funny enough Kevin, I had been attempting to articulate how infuriating it must be to work with a roomful of intelligent, or at least well educated, but probably both, and certainly smug, knowing they are unsackable, Senior Civil Servants, who delight in frustrating the Ministers honest efforts to introduce needed reforms, while knowing and delighting in knowing that the Minister carries the responsibility for their actions, or inactions, BUT cannot sack them.

Ah pure bliss, for such jobsworths.

And I can do no better than refer to any random episode of "Yes Minister!"

I knew you’d ‘get it’ Marcus.

You have to have ‘seen’ it to be able to believe it....

Wildlife officials spotted the "unusual" structure while counting sheep, leaving them baffled.
