... China has a lot of 'rare minerals' that he wants the US to buy at bargain prices, they didn't do that. The Ukraine has a lot of minerals that he wants the US to buy at bargain prices but he hasn't stopped that war yet, despite many 24 hours, Greenland has the potential for a lot of minerals that the US wants at bargain prices. World security? No. (Minerals include things like the rare earth magnets that are needed in electric motors, China is taking them all for their windmills),

 

Taking a sparsely populated country like Greenland and with a president who doesn't care abut the environment looks to me like a plan to turn it into a massive open cast mine.

 

Security from Russia? Yeah, the Russians are struggling to make headway into The Ukraine, cannot support their international allies and are no match for the US, or even Europe. The US can base as much military in Greenland as they want without owning it. Security? That is a truthful as the Venezuelan drugs.
