The car would still have fallen. If the man had been working under the car at the time it would have fallen onto him equally. Praying did not cause the car to fall.

Like most workplace accidents it was down to human error - bad maintenance, poor operation, something similar. Praying has never factored into any accident cause.

perhaps the car was racist !!!   or the ramp ...

I tend to think that’s not the case. Zero spacial awareness or focus on his surroundings for starters and secondly being on his knees with his forehead on the ground will have significantly impaired ( at 58) his ability to react to the situation. All in all a bloody stupid thing to do.

But he wasn’t nor would anyone with half a brain do any of what you suggest under the car.

He is a mechanic, he probably spends 8 hours a day underneath a car on a set of ramps. By your logic he should be on his toes all of that time checking that the car isn't going to fall on him and crush him to death.

"But he wasn’t nor would anyone with half a brain do any of what you suggest under the car. "

Have you ever seen the inside of a garage workshop? What do you think they do, run backwards and forwards underneath a car hoping not to get killed. Or work under the thing, smacking it with a lump hammer while on the phone and tying their shoe laces.

Ill leave you to it, your mind works in mysterious ways

What a sad, sad life you live.

I think you ought to have a handful of mushrooms.

I suspect drugs or alcohol play a large part of some of the powers [or lack of] reasoning on here.either that or psychiatric units now have unlimited internet access.

but I have no idea why they chose this forum, and seem to concentrate on certain individuals.

I’ll leave this thought with you, I bet he doesn’t pray underneath a car again. So much time and effort put in by the libtards on here and I have coloured and those of a Muslim faith laughing at you daft buggers tying yourself in knots trying to play the racism card.

I’m still at work Mark just amusing myself with your libtard racism fantasies.
Says the man arguing about a fool praying under a car at what time on a Saturday night 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Think weed is the thing out here not mushrooms by the way.

Having worked for one of the uk's leading 4x4 and off-road outfits I can assure you and everyone else, mechanics do not unpack parts, sit and wait for oil to drain,  have their feckin' lunch or choose under a loaded ramp as their place of worship.

this event is clearly down to operator error, bad placement of the vehicle, or faulty/poorly maintained equipment, or lack of supervision by those in charge, maybe they dare not say anything about his choice of location for fear of being accused of racism, or anti muslim?

what makes this case stand out, is the fact that he chose to pray directly beneath a car on a two post vehicle  hoist, a minimum of common sense would have suggested this was not a good location choice.

especially given the outcome.

trying to imply the op is a racist simply because he brought it to the "making the news today" thread is a somewhat desperate attempt to chastise the poster.

Looks like you went well off on a tangent there.

So, do you remove the oil plug then run off in case the car falls on you, or do you remove the oil plug, and then stand under the car while you remove the oil filter, do some other stuff etc etc.

If you cant sit under a vehicle for 5 mins doing feck all  for fear that it might fall on you then you shouldn't be working on the vehicle in the first place.

Its not rocket science.

now you're just being an argumentative thrush.

I'll tell you one thing I do,

"make sure the vehicle is stable and safe before going under it"

oh and one thing I don't do is pray under the feckin' thing even if I checked it for proper placement on the lift.

Nor is operating a two post lift correctly, or having the common sense to not be under it unless you are there doing a job of work which you are focused on. You guys are desperately trying to ignore the fact he was in the wrong place for prayer as was blatantly obvious. Maybe the directors should have trained him better, all 6 of them.
