A few ads with some obese waddlers would soon have the body positivity fools screaming

Which is why i dont think the governments proposals will come to much, will be stopped in its tracks like everything else due to idiots like this.

The elderly fuel payment withdrawal should have been stopped in its tracks also, but they voted for whats best for themselves of course.

Or this.

The problem is that half the population wouldn't see a problem with those pictures. The perceived norm for body shape has been skewed so far to the right of the scale in recent years. Not helped by the stupid body positivity thinking.

Shifting baseline syndrome is a term normally applied to natural ecosystem degradation. I also think it covers why obesity is  being regarded as normal.

If a time machine got a group of people from 1950's they would be shocked by the obesity of 2024.

Whereas  younger people may see it as normal and some older ones have also forgotten how radically things have changed as its being gradual

Like some people denying the crashing insect population and wider biodiversity collapse.

The woke body positive non-fat shaming idiots are to blame.

’I’m 30 stone and feel beautiful’.

You’re not.

You’re a lazy, greedy repulsive pile of blubber who will die young after costing the NHS a fortune

Court rules against West Cumbria Mining’s fossil fuel development in Whitehaven

Far better to just keep importing it and support jobs and revenues overseas 😂. Now that we are heading towards being the first of the industrialised nations not being able to make our own high quality virgin steelwhat could possibly go wrong. But hey don’t worry net zero here we come 👍👍

Anyway. Tackling advertising around junk food is just a deck chair rearranging exercise really.

The only way to fix the chronic ill health problem in this country is to stop giving people "food" that makes them sick. That'll require a head on confrontation with the mighty processed food industry though. That'll be a battle and a half.

The big question is - is the new government tough enough to take on the challenge? The previous few incumbents have certainly shied away from it. (I expect Boris enjoyed more than his fair share of the lobbyists loot).

It wouldn't hurt to get rid of Delivepoo etc as well.
