I think I'd replace the word "permissions" with "pride".

I wouldn’t at all, and also a lot of the dramatic media coverage is BS quite frankly( I’ve just listened to a bbc presenter ask yet another expert “ would they have taken extra carbon dioxide with them” 😳🤷‍♂️unbelievable lack of basic understanding of high school level physiology) , whenever there is an incident of any kind it’s amazing how many people want to get involved or have an opinion or idea. Magellan want their kit on-site 🤔maybe it was the best tool for the job “ who knows” the people on-site who certainly are not fools have made the shout and are managing the situation as best as they can. More to the point at the bare minimum is the lack of contingency or emergency preparedness that seems to have been the case. I know if I’d rocked up at that set up and seen how it was deployed etc I’d have put my 250k back in my pocket and asked for a ride back to port.

You seem to have smoked something very potent. Care to share with the class?

For sure my only info is the dreaded MSM. Articles like this:

But in my previous career, National Pride and "we're the best" attitudes resulted in things going FUBAR - EVERY time. I hardly need to name the country do I?!

They can’t take money down with them.

Always takes a tragedy to shake things up but I’d say the submersible industry is in for a big shake up. I’d say it will have been a mercifully quick event.
