As a student many years ago, in my 3rd year, from monies "earned" as an Officer Cadet in the OTC, and saved due to abstaining from travelling for pleasure, I bought myself a rusty Renault 5 and forked out an exhorbitant sum for insurance, perhaps I even taxed it?

A piss-head, just back from galivanting somewhere, commented, as he gargled another pint down his neck,

"Its well for you Marcus, you can afford a car",

without in the slightest realizing there was any irony or hypocrisy in his statement.

I guess he voted Labour.

This is absolutely true and I could still name him.

Well, there's no arguing with that revelation Marcus! You could still name him you say?

Why did you keep that bombshell under wraps for so long? Could have saved us a whole lot of needless aggravation.

I thought you were.....   But you seem to have completely missed the point :D

Do believe in the concept of a British Empire?  You don't have to answer.  Your conditioning has led you to a platform that is far removed from my own.  Good luck with that.

Danny "Morglus", phonetic spelling only.

Him, with his spendthrift nature and jealous/envious attitude towards others who were accruing, regardless of earning power,  plus many others with similar revolutionary mindsets, have indeed helped to "form" my character down through the years.

Oops

BUI 74,

had been used to take dogs to the beach by its previous owner(as I found out afterwards), which together with late 1970's Renault rust proofing resulted in an early MOT failure.

sigh
