There aren't any CSs made in the UK, so new kit is bound to be more expensive.

Just what I was about to ask... Is it time to invest in any new kit before the price of imported goods goes up? I don't know how quickly that happens when the value of the pound drops.. I suppose it will effect timber prices fairly immediately tho?

this simple quote says it all for me...:thumbdown: too true.

simply my two pence is "be carefull what you wish for" this will NOT just blow over. When prices go up on all sorts of stuff, lets see if all the keen "leavers" are quite so keen. :001_rolleyes:

the amount of folk who voted out today who Ive heard "say oh Shucks i never thought of that..."

has anyone else heard this said today..?

Where have you met these folk that didn't know what they were voting for?

I don't believe you.

It is surprising how many people are realising what being out actually means, especially on the issue of Scottish and Irish independence.

The funny thing is we still don't know any more about what's going to happen than before the vote but hopefully in a few days time the pound will stabilise, politicians will get back to business and we'll all move on and find out if this was the right choice.

Brexit impact so far for me:

Today, I told the technical director of a company with around 100 employees who wanted to schedule a meeting to discuss strategic investment in a niche technology area where the UK are currently leaders not to bother coming to see me as we could no longer help them since a UK-based project would now be unfundable. It is likely that this will cost around 20 jobs.
