[slack ma girdle]

I have finally scrounged enough metal to build my own skidding frame. Carrying on the fine tradition of bodge it and scaper. Or in this case skid.

And before anybody points it out, i know the welding is not very good, but it works:001_tt2:

The main reason i dont like the reverse controls is that it ruins your visibility when reversing and the pedals are a joke!

 

Love the completly flat floor and the fact that there is no handbrake lever as the handbrake comes on when you put the forward reverse lever below neutral. also the rpms drop to about 650 with the handbrake on.

Its real quick with the twin splitters! Doing short blocks they are inclined to fall into the splitter sideways Grr the saw chip channel needs constant clearing but with the 2 of us working it its not a problem.

Had to close the gap at the bottom of the conveyor as the smaller stuff was falling through and jamming the converor.

 

Couple of little tweaks and its a good machine.

We somtimes use just the splitters for blocks that are too big to go through the saw and you cant turn off the oiler so it can make a bit of a mess.

fixed up the bonnet and gave it a coat of paint in the sunshine today, put the new chains on the winch chokers then had to go home, ran out of time for a play:laugh1:
