Tree for sale on gumtree

If you really really wanted one then all the agro and extra cost of tree spade and transport is worth it. I'm sure if you could find one that big in a nursery it would be a lot more than £1000 just for the tree.

Just rip it out with an excavator at that size not worth the hassle of a tree spade to small and only one, they are surprisingly tough, you could hire an excavator and get it on a decent sized truck fairly cost effectively.

But £1000 before it's even dug up and planted!

Better of getting a decent nursery example than take the risk, although that could end up more costly.

The point here is the advert at first glance looks ridiculous, yet it's not so crazy as we have often done similar jobs although in most cases the owner would get only a token some unless like a nursery they are willing to often some kind of garantee

I have visions of a tree spade driving off down the road with the tree , water main, gas, electric and phone wires trailing behind :blushing: . In fairness that is a cheap tree if its logistically viable, I just cant see a local paying for it :sneaky2:

Bit of a derail but I have a couple of oaks (both about 10cm dbh) that I'd like to move, they were both pollarded about 7yrs ago, what size area should I dig round them and what are their survival chances (assuming I do it October/November time) would probably be 8t 360 doing it?
