what are the views or pros/cons of the x rigging rings vs. yur average block/pulley?

they are simalarly priced from what i can see but what are the revies quality/lasting etc??

thanks

I can't really see the point of the x rings. They look good but I can't really see any advantage to them.

Most of my rigging is done with an ISC swing cheek, ally rigging crab and home made whoopie sling. You should be able to get all that for under £100

The block pulley and big boy rope rarely gets used. Only for blocking down big stems, which isn't very often.

Some one re invented the topping strop ... Sorry I just don't see the point in them, I have some antel rings, tried them and see no real benefit at all from using them they can't lift they may give friction but I would rather have a pulley.. First 8 years of my career were spent with a topping strops rigging the best thing we ever did was buy a rigging block !

Love my x rings. Don't use any thing but them. Not even a capstan for big stuff. Just add more rings for more friction if needed.
