Maybe Dave. The first thing that I thought when I saw it was round my way, come night fall, you'd have about 20 little wrong'uns climbing it and being pratts. At least with a fence it might seem like too much bother!

 

Just my opinion.

The fence will make a good recepticle for all the cider bottles, fag packets, piss, chip papers and joint ends thatthe little scrotes leave lying around.

So, it seems we all share the same feeling about the overall appearance!

 

I wonder what the legal implications would be if someone were to remove said fence in the dark of night and spread 2 or 3 cube of chips around the base?

I think it looks good, the shine from the galvanized fence will soften in time and the bright concrete will weather...

 

Don't see a problem myself, I think the council could have found a more suitible place to erect the monument though........

 

My wife and daughter think it looks an eyesore, hummm I wonder about myself at times :blushing:
