Sorry I haven't replied to this thread sooner I been to the hospital suffering from shock :-)

 

 

Ha ha! Me too. One of our 261's just came back from the dealers with the crank gone. Not worth repairing. £190 + labour +vat. Bit gutted as it hadn't been used that much.

To be fair the bearing problem on the 261 is widespread and widely repoted.

 

Exactly . The test should have been performed after each saw had done a couple of months in the woods to be meaningful .

Flog it to Mr Shires Ti then buy the second placed saw that cuts quicker and doesn't break strangely enough :001_smile:

Award winning saw for sale..

Best in 50cc class...

Lots of power at low revs....

Doesn't bog down in the cut (really?)

Erm......Slight crank issues....

Free cardboard box when you purchase this highly rated saw....
