I'm more amazed by how many "professional" removal experts I see working off the client's roof.

A huge no go in my opinion as standard operating procedure. Storm work one of the few exceptions, and even then a signed liability waiver's a smart move.

I'll rig often when I could drop it.

You can stand the branch on its tip, hold it there, then lower gently whilst the groundies pull the butt end toward the chipper.

All self lowering, natural crotch.

It's quicker, and easier for everyone.

I rig 70/80% of the time but we can turn up with a team of 5 guys to get stuff done it does slow stuff up if there is only one groundy, it all depends on the situation if theres nothing under the tree i wont rig it but 99% of trees we do have something under them we have to avoid. And cutting and chucking to me has more risk of damage as your cutting and holding and throwing say 10 branches instead of lowering one whole branch and is using more energy from the climber as they have to do more climbing and more work in general.
