STIHL battery saw

Ahh but when the customer asks "do you need an extension lead for your tools?" You can now say"yes, but don't un plug the kettle first" :001_smile:

I know husky are bringing out (may already be available) an inventor so you can charge from the van battery.

But then you'd need 20 foot jump leads to jump start the van from the chipper! 😂

That's good news. Been running my T536 since April 13 and still going strong. 12" Oregon 90SG chain works fine. 3 batteries still working ok and charging in 35 mins from flat.

The back handled version is a brilliant chipper saw.

I've not seen the Stihl one yet to compare.

Do you run out of battery power on a day with lots of cuts? cheers, steve

I think it's called an inverter. cheers, steve

:laugh1: Yup, I would like to blame autocorrect on my phone but my spelling is terrible so no excuse.

I bet they do have an inventor knocking about somewhere though!

Those inverters are about £50 but it looks like they havent any in stock yet.

I dont think they draw that much current but yes, might be worth running the van while its charging but then goes against nearly everything a battery bit of kit stands for.:001_tongue:

Hello Silky and other electric users

I have been mulling over getting one of these, and you seem to like it a lot.

Have you used the 150 ? As someone else said I have been put off by the idea that the 160 is heavier than the 150 but I'm guessing similar power .

Is that right ?

Power wise how does it compare to 150 or 201?

and weight wise how does it compare to 150 or 201 when you are

using it ?(i.e. balance etc is sometimes more important than written figure)

Thanks.
