The CL was an irrelevance, the prospect of relegation was too real to ignore. They were in a tailspin, he didn't seem to have any answers.

 

It was a magnificent achievement though.

 

The money in the PL is so great, going down is unthinkable.

 

It's a tough business for sure, he seemed like a decent guy, financially I wouldn't worry too much for him.

But will it make a difference...the 60 million dollar question? Many other clubs, or rather BUSINESS OWNERS, have adopted this approach and to no avail.

 

I'm emotive, as I love what he/they achieved, and he seems a really nice fella, and I think the players have let him down, but it highlights that football is incidental to the decision making process.
