Got the aldi phone. Camera is rubbish and there's no predictive text, but apart from that seems a decent enough basic phone that should stand up to abuse!

+1 for the otter box cases, when combined with a glass screen protector they are bullet proof. Mine has a layer of rubber and then the solid plastic outer, great for most falls and knocks. Otter box have some interesting reviews on their site - if they are true they are pretty incredible!

Dont know the model but its got a life of hell, lives out in the yard at night in the rain or frost with no problems and lasts about three days on a charge. Loud ring and does what a phone should, only issue is it only holds three hundred numbers so I could not load up numbers from my old phone. Ipad for everything else.:thumbup1:

Another vote for otterbox. I have had an otterbox defender on my Samsung for two years and underneath the phones like new. Drops, scrapes, occasional splash - nothing has caused any damage.

I accidentally ran over my iPhone with an otter box with the car. It crushed the case but the phone was unharmed.

On the downside they can suffer from condensation when in your pocket climbing on a wet day.
