Funny you should say that, I have a friction device I have never operated because I've always been the one up the tree!

Gets a bit frustrating giving instructions for a device I've never used.

 

 

Yep it does. I'd rather give instructions for the 3001 than some of the others though. It couldn't be simpler really.

I have owned one of these since they first came out, what's that 6 years now? Today was the first time I have ever used it from the groundsmans perspective. Pretty cool ain't they!? :)

 

I loved the one we used in Australia. Can get some really good rigging set ups with them.

They are awesome bits of kit. Can't fault then at all. I always find you feel it will hold whatever is rigged off. I have been up the tree and taken some huge chunks out knowing full well it will be up to the task.

Really love ours... We take turns doing the climbs and running the ropes. There is nothing more satisfying than smoothly executed rigging operations. The 3001 is such a simple but effective solidly built unit. So much better than those flappy port a wraps.
