What's all this ' everyone's mortified ' business ?

I've just seen this and to be honest thought Ken Block looked awesome .

I personally could see nothing wrong with it and I'm a passionate military services recognition guy . :confused1:

It's the moan brigade, can't have fun. They need real jobs to keep em busy. The amount of negative people out there is unreal.

Live and let live we used to say. Now it's, you can't do that!

I'm also a patriot & I thought 'mortified' was a bit strong. Could it be that the car/driver & passenger were American which rubbed some people the wrong way?

I'm with you on this. I have a huge amount of respect for our military, past and present, but I don't see how this was disrespectful in the slightest. I could understand if they used the memorial as part of the stunt but it was just near it. I feel people get offended far too easily these days.

I think a lot of people have been watching top gear waiting for them to trip up, this is the best they could come up with.

I don't see a problem either, they just drove around London, the fact that the cenotaph was in the background is irrelevant.

Exactly, they want it to fail and Chris Evans to fail. makes a better story.

.......and there was me thinking that the BBC had staged the whole thing just to reassure everyone that the Top Gear was still as 'naughty' as it ever was.....

Oooh, you old cynic. Be fair, there wasn't anywhere else they could have done it, was there? :001_rolleyes::biggrin:

tbh, I think it's more distasteful that Top Gear close down London over a weekend for this stunt.

lol, Matt LeBlanc isn't aging well, he looks like he's been drinking methylated spirits.

Bring back Jeremy! He was a lot better than all this artificial outrage rubbish.

My little bro is a Colonel in the RA, and visits the Cenotaph pretty often.

He and the lads weren't too outraged by this heinous crime, and enjoyed meeting the team when they dropped in at Woolwich.

I don't know if they got on the meths afterwards, like.ImageUploadedByArbtalk1458071002.813156.jpg.c386e5c38fe9c970b6a86b35a48d6fe2.jpg
