Tommy_B a loler inspector cant inspect a knott that has not been tied at the factory so should always untie any treemotion bridge that does not have the red stiching intact. Better having to retie a knott that get a loler fail due to said knott!

Then how could they pass a friction cord if they can't trust the user to tie a knot!?!?

Surely a simple overhand knot doesn't need untieing?

 

Even the most pedant of pedants can see if it has been done correctly. Now if my LOLER inspector failed a harness on that reason then I would be using some one else.

Tbh I would just re stitch it if I lolered it

When I fit a new bridge I use it and load it then stitch it

I wouldn't necessarily fail a piece of kit just because I couldn't untie a knot that had been loaded beyond being able to be reasonably undo it.
