Unspeakably Stupid.

 

The UK Police instructor had failed his safety test,he loads a live round into a .44 Magnum Revolver in a class room,points it at a student and pulls the Trigger.

 

He gets off with a fine,because he is a Policeman.You or me try that one in court.

Just goes to show you.... the boys who are supposed to be at the top of thier game, protecting civilians are the ones who let us down.

If this was a civilian incident and it was you or me who pulled the trigger we would be doing some serious time at her majestey's pleasure.

 

As a firearms license holder myself I can say for FACT that if anything like this happened or even hinted at happening during an inspection, all guns and licenses would be revoked instantly. They even prefer firearms license holders to store ammunition in a seporate safe to the firearms and the bolts of the rifles in a seporate safe also...

read an article the other day about what happens when the police are called out when some do gooder reports a legitimate shooting guy shooting pigoens in a field with permision, helicopters, armed responce the full scene, then the police do something like this and get a slap on the wrist.

Civilian.Police are Civilians just like you and me.They are tried in Civilian courts,these days there are two rules.

Totally agree, never point one even in jest.

 

Mind you, I think its a doddle to own firearms if you really want them. Its so easy to get a firearms ticket these days. I think they want people to own them so inevitably there will be more accidents therefore giving the authorities reason to ban all firearms from the public.
