I forgot to post the vague results from my week off milk and my week on milk. I decided to drop it down to a half pint of milk on the second week as opposed to the full pint originally proposed.

The work I had for both weeks was pretty similar bar a Wednesday in the first week where I had a flat out day rigging down a big pine and bumping logs with a big drag once I got out the tree, till about 8 pm.

To be honest I didn't notice any real change in aching of muscle or strength the next day. But I still find a glass of milk bloody refreshing after a slog of a day. ;-)

That's interesting. Thanks for the update. Your research blows a raspberry at what the scientists have been saying.

I also find it refreshing to have a slug of cold milk as soon as I get home.

cheers, steve

No worries, like I said it's not a proper experiment just little test with an open mind. I did want it to be true if I'm honest.

Milk ... Schmilk! Disgusting stuff drips out the underside of a cow (or any mammal depending on your preference/proclivity for that matter) and sticks to the back of your throat before sending your body's mucus production into overdrive.

Best avoided.

The truth of the matter is one thing on its own don't do nothin special to recover from a days workout/working day...

A balanced diet, maybe a couple of glasses of wine to relax and wind down at the end of the day and good nights sleep is all you'll ever need...

all the rest is BS....

Now to matters of more importance, how in hells bells does one cure an aching back, mines getting on my nerves....

Silky Fox,,,,,think on the positive side, your less likely to develop prostrate cancer, not that its cheery news, but its something at least...

Get yourself an inversion table. Inverting is the best thing for the human back, and can sort most problems.
