Ive been following this thread because i fancy a little pruning saw and was eyeing the little echo....thats that then...ffs.

I'd just get one from Rob D anyway.

Then when they work out the problems yours will be retrofitted.

I did a big Oak reduction last week and a big dismantle today and there is a very noticeable huge difference in fatigue levels when using the 2510.

Yeah i hear what your sayin but being scottish im pre disposed to being a tight arse and i couldnt knowingly make a purchase on a saw when im aware of issues with it.

I run a 540xp and ms200's at work, but would love a little un with some grunt.

No one seems to want to part with a 150 either but i would prefer a 2510.

Dilemma....think i 'll hang fire and see what echo does first.

Cheers for the advice

Yeah used mine on an oak reduction today and love it over bigger saws. Did notice it felt a bit warm when the underside was against my trousers at one point so maybe it's that ?

Someone mentioned earlier that their 280 gets really hot so they put some foam on the housing to stop it burning their leg.. Will I need to register my saw with echo somehow or just get in touch with them regarding the recall? I'm actually pretty happy with my saw, would just like more info

How about a Stihl 193t? I know that it's not as light as the 2510 or the 150t, but it could still function as a fairly light saw for pruning and takedowns.
