Big statement!

Mine is currently sitting in the delivery depot waiting to be put in a van. Hoping they decide to deliver today and not Tuesday like I suspect

My last job I used the huski t435 and the 540, my current job we have the Stihl 200 and 201.

It beats all of them it's actually a joy to use. I'm not sure if it's the thinner chain and Stihl carving bar that make the difference, I'd imagine the 200 would be better with a thinner chain.

But the 200 is heavy and clumsy when doing a big reduction whereas the echo is light and nimble.

I looked at mine. I'm presuming you're thinking of removing the CAT?

I figured a slit disc to open it, braise it shut.

That said, I "lost" the spark screen and it's retaining screw, and it's almost abnormally loud already. You know about it if you're not wearing earmuffs.

It's alien for me to say, but I don't know if it needs more power!

Heya Joe, yeah that's what I was thinking. I only think I'll attempt it if I've got the tools to make a nice job of it - I took the spark arrestor off and that made a huge difference considering! I think I'll invest in the 150 cutting gear before anything else

from reading here I'm a little confused on this saw vs the Stihl 150.

Without the Stihl bar and chain the echo is not on a par?

So if the Stihl 150 is better considering they cost the same (looking on various websites) with €10-15 difference.

Just wondering if spending the extra on bar, chain and sprocket still is the way to go??

But from what I understand, the echo has 10% more power than the Stihl; so the extra investment in bar and chain etc ; put it way ahead of the Stihl 150; possibly nipping at the 193?

There's too much choice!!

Is this echo 2510 an overlap to the battery saws; or has it got its place alongside one?

Reason I ask is I'm keen on buying a battery saw; but this echo has caught my eye.

I was going to opt for a Stihl 160 and 201.
