How do people light these and keep them going. I made a couple last year just to try, but i cant get them to stay alight. They are seasoned and dry as well.

I wedge an eco (wax) firefighter in the top, found 4 cuts better than 2 for most wood, also sell nets of kindling alongside them

I'll be lighting mine using fatwood. The Corsican pine I had delivered was full of the stuff - only need one bit to light my fire and I love it - tends to spit and send out jets of flame as well as dripping molten flammable liquid onto the logs.

We produce them and mainly export to Western Europe. Got machinery designed for production of these.

It should be dry, up to 20% inside and use wood wool flamer or biomass firelighter to light it up.

I make them stood up, start with saw bar facing up 45 degrees, butt power head up to log so it doesn't pull over, then maintain power head against stem, even take advantage of bumper spikes.

 

Flat firm ground. Flat level bottom cut, easy and quick.

Made a few today, cutting from the side - makes lovely curly shavings - they should be good for fire lighting!
