Yeah, I first heard this When Humble pie covered it in 1971, then I heard Ashford and Simpsons original '66 version then Ray Charles, then John Scofield, and most recently ish John Mayer which finally 50 years later I decided that I had to try to learn the dam thing, which isn't coming that easy☺️

Skynyrd fan here but Blackfoot were Rickey's best band - saw them blow off The Scorpions on their Animal Magnetism tour around 1980...

I suppose this should be in a film thread but hey ho . I have just read ( after all these years ) that the " in bread , back woods " character who played the banjo in the film Deliverance didn't actually play at all . A pro musician was hidden behind him . Dueling banjos is the track . Dunno if you could put it up mate ?
