Poor tree work in conservation area

A TO has no authority on how the work is done in a CA he either serves a TPO or shuts up, the council can only recommend quality work.

I agree with the others, I concentrate on my life and work not others.

And work in a conservation area should be carried out in accordance with BS3998. And nowhere in there will it say that reductions can be carried out on spikes. It's in all our interests to maintain respectability and trust in our industry to stamp out cowboyish Arb work

Haha, I know, I know.. I don't know what the industry is like over there but where I am in London it's rife with gippos, carrying out poor work. It's responses like yours that have let it get like it is. If more people were willing to do something about these unqualified gardeners then there'd be more work for the professional, better kept trees and less old people getting ripped off.

You have to laugh, "responses like mine that have let it get like it is" so I'm responsible for poor tree work in London and old people getting ripped off.

Go on then, follow your conscience, park your truck outside the council offices, take some photos of the perpetrators while you're at it and report them for "crimes against trees"

While you're at it tell 'em about the Gippos and the Froggys see how that goes down at the diversity office.

Not all trees in a conservation area are worth keeping! If the TO thought it was anything of significance he would of TPO it. Crap work happened in every industry, that's life I'm afraid.

But is it ok for me to care and want to do something about it? I suppose I was hoping for a unanimous decision but it seems a mixed camp, of which I don't quite understand.

"Should" is totally different to "must"! It's only recommendation not law and ftr I'm with you on the poor quality work .

Don't talk so much I can smell the garlic from here.. Of course you are not single handedly responsible, it's a collective conscience of plonkers with a laissez-faire attitude. Was just gonna make a quick phone call and see if they wanted to do anything about it.
