Yeah, we're quite lucky that we've got a woodchip customer who pays by the kW so it pays to chip hardwood unlike most contracts.

Lots going on here on my small scale. I've collected a few tons of oak, been splitting oak and ash, bagged a few up ready to sell and started converting an old diesel tank stand into a bagging frame. I've also divided up the piles with some scrap gates from a farm sale, total cost for 3 £5!

ive also sold both my log splitters!

im going back to the fiskars x21 and x27 until I buy or build my ideal log splitter- self powered, towable, vertical, about 4ft high table with a about 2 square meters of space so you don't have to keep bending down every minute.

How big a ring does the fiskars cope with? My bog standard splitting axe is useless over 12” really. Wouldn’t mind splitting some oversize by hand if it was doable and save buying a vertical splitter?
