Hi, I am planning on getting magnetic signs for my pickup (I subbie as well as do my own work therefore I want them removable), can anyone recommend ones that stay attached? As I have heard stories of them falling off.

I am wanting to put them on the driver and passenger doors. Thanks.

I cant recommend a specific type - but rather a feature of ones you do get. Make sure they have rounded, not pointed, corners.

The pointed are more likely to uplift over time and subsequently come off when travelling, whereas the rounded are less likely to do so.

The key to keeping magnet signs on your vehicle or truck is to have a clean waxed surface at all times. This simple act will keep the sign better affixed to the metal. Otherwise the sign will fall off and you will have lost your advertising investment.

I have a pair from Vista print, they look light weight but have been good so far. I run up and down the motorways and haven't had one slip or fall off. I only use them a bit, but I will probably replace them every year to make sure they don't slip or become damaged. I think the more the are used, the more they become damaged and therefore likely to fall off.

Put your advertising on the vehicle and when you need to be anonymous, cover them with plain cover ups

This way you only need to have the magnets on when the vehicle is on site reducing the danger of them blowing off

I have the Vistaprint ones, never fallen off. Only thing is someone nicked a pair of them last year in Sainsbury's car park and then a customer called me up and said guys wt irish accents had turned up unsolicited to offer her tree work and because she knew of me by reputation she said it didn't sound like my style. Police got onto it.

Next set of signs I get will say on them "if these are not on vehicle [insert reg no(s).] then they've been nicked".

It also depends on what type of vehicle you use. Landrover door skins are NOT steel so not very magnet friendly

Door skins on l/R mid TD5 era changed to steel, got magnetics on mine
