Silky saw

I use a 300mm Gomtaro and will soon need to replace the blade.

I did have a Hayauchi pole saw but it was stolen. Very annoying as it was the full 7m one and I need it at full length so am keeping an eye out for a replacement.

Zubat 390 from honey brothers for me. Although I was contemplating the "sword-like" handle one ( sugowaza I think) to prevent any forward hand slips when wet, as the boys say, nasty piece of kit when it wants to be. ( and before all the super hero's jump on the "you're an idiot if you cut yourself with a silky" band wagon, I'm sure most people know of someone that has, as accidents do happen

I have a 300mm Gomtaro and have just bought another one. Just because I can rather than I need to.

If you buy a Silverline diamond feather file you can easily sharpen the Gomtaro blade in 10 minutes or so. The file costs a fiver or so from Amazon/eBay and the like. For that money it is worth a go.

With no great skill and just a little care the re sharpened blade is just as good as new and lasts very nearly as long as a new bought one before needing sharpening. That £5 file will save you well over £100
