It's alright spud, I got the banter. The 460 is still going strong and constantly surprises people, especially on a 20 with sharp full chisel. Don't suppose you've got a 660 for sale, which has been worked on by your good self?

Sorry...nope on that:thumbdown:

Are sure this is the correct bar and chain combination for the saw 058 chain in an 050 bar, incorrect bar profile for the bar pad etc.

That's double dutch to me buddy:blushing:

Sorry, as standard the 560xp runs the small Husqvarna bar pad and .325 058 gauge chain, if the bar now on the saw has the wrong profile, or the wrong gauge when the bar nuts are tightened it will lock the chain in the bar, or if the pitch of the chain is incorrect for the rim fitted, it may have been changed to 3/8

He probably lobbed it out of a tree Andy, nothing to do with wear and tear:001_rolleyes::lol:

Happy New Year Matt:thumbup:

May have lobbed it at the forwarder when it seized ! Tbh I didn't realise there was a problem with it until a few people pointed out they could not get the brake off... Just apply a lot of pressure on the bit that engages it and it is fine ....... Should really get around to fix it.

That all sounds a bit familliar:001_rolleyes::lol:

Check that you haven't engaged the chain brake before putting the side casing on. This will cause the brake band to jam between the clutch and the drum causing the issues you have plus it also makes the saw harder to start.

Probably the most common problem I have seen with huskys.

That's if it isn't one of the ideas already put forward.

all sorted now guys, the saw came with a few bars so I tried on the older bar and the saw worked perfectly, the first bar I had on was exactly the same but newer, nose sprocket turned freely, chain groove was clear and un damaged, bar wasn't bent, total mystery why the chain wouldn't turn but runs great with the older bar, checked the markings and both are the same bar, genuine husky:confused1: anyway all good now. thanks for the advice.

All it can be then is the groove width ( gauge ) . Could it have been a Pixal narrow kirf bar .
