I've lived in China, Spain ,Tenerife France and Italy over the years and loved them all in their own ways.

However it's family I always missed in the end so the midlands somewhere (close enough to family but not on any of their doorsteps!)not that bothered where as long as it's in the countryside.

I've lived in Thanet (the far eastern tip of Kent) for around 50 years and seen many people say how great it would be to live in so and so, but more often than not, when they move there it seems they're back inside a couple of years.

Therefore I'm quite happy where I am despite reports of it being greener on the other side! :) :)

Quiet & seclusion for me is ok for a couple of weeks, bit longer maybe. As for living all the time...right here in Kent. I know there are other, better places but chasing dreams isn't for me when you're familiar with somewhere? Boring maybe but happy, oh yes.:001_rolleyes:

The Lakes, south to mid Wales and the south coast. Fortunately, I've family and friends in all, so get to stay here and there. The south coast has a great climate and the scenery isn't bad either. I enjoy the odd jaunt on family and friends' boats. But I miss the fells/mountains when away from them.
