Totally agree, even although they will bombard you with very official looking demands they are all bollocks in Scotland, unless it is issued by Police or Council. Fairly certain I read about cases in England that ended in CCJ's getting issued though, so bit more risky in Englandshire.

Same applies here , don't pay it ,they will keep sending official looking letters hoping typical Jonny English pays .

I am going to talk nicely to Aldi I was in their store the whole time. I have a little bit of history re wheel clamp, petrol disc cutter. Apparently those big clamps cost £700.00

I'm sure with your receipt they will be reasonable. Regarding the fine itself though I don't think it's an unreasonable policy. In my experience locally, unlike the bigger supermarkets, Aldis are generally closer to town centres. They would be inundated with people using their car parks whilst they went to work for the day if they didn't do this.

Most Aldi stores by me use shared car parks with the likes of Homebargain,Card warehouse, Tesco metro etc so will be interesting how that works, has to Aldi car parks I think the Architect used Fiat 500s to base there plans on car park spaces !!!
