Im on my second pair of tyrol fighters mainly because of what ed said but they lasted 18 months and had no tread on the soles, and had still not blown out on the sides wich seems to be the killer of climbing boots i guess caused by all the crutch jamming...usually i get about 6 months out of a pair of say eltons or hiaxs before the split and blow out on the sided but these boots are easily the most hard wearing saw boots on the market i dont know if the new ones will be as robust though .

cheers matty and cts, i dont pay much attention to new stuff on display, as it doesnt show you how well they last-unlike treedivers post/picture which impressed me.

mine are totally shagged-stitchings comming apart, burst out where they flex when you walk, hey ho, served me well!

This new boot from Klima-Air is truly a chainsaw boot built to last, made from 2.5mm strong leather, offering both quality and comfort. Klima-Air have designed this boot specifically for climbing in, fitted with a Vibram Sole and manufactured from a single piece of leather for added strength. Fitted with an Aluminium Toecap & Kevlar Midsole which is designed to keep your feet warmer in the winter by eliminating the Steel element. (Requires Beeswax to weatherproof the boot)

The new boots are now in and the stock is already low we are doing them for around the £200.00 mark. :001_smile:

Stock is already low and the next delivery will be about a month away.:scared1:

whats the new ones cts?

look like theyve lasted tree diver really well, wonder if theyre still going strong? (noticed this is an old thread!)

how much are they?

Ive still got them. The stitching has still held as have all the rivets and the sole I brought some cheaper oregon supercomforts in jan which although instantly comfortable, dont have the same build quality.

I'm after a pair in size 13 or I was till I seen the price difference.£300! Takes the Mick how much extra boots are from a size 12-13.Was bad enough paid £200 for pair of haix that lasted less than six months before the soles detached.

So are the tyrols worth that much cash? I'm open to other suggestions from other folks lol.

Yes i got these, the climbing ones have lasted me 2 yrs and still got pleanty life left in them, would always buy these boots, the only reason to get rid would be because the grip has gone, still water proof still hold the spike great and still look goodish, will attach a photo.
