Hi

Having difficulty getting my chain sharp. I have done a lantra course and no how to sharpen a chain. I normally manage to do this without problem.. For some reason i cant get them sharp just now and need some advice. My thoughts were that i have changed chain oil and it seems sticker than previous stuff could this be causing problems. Also it was raining when i tried but then had same problem in my garage Tried a new file and then tried a different chain. Same prpblems. Any advice welcome. It just seems like the chain is really hard and the file ai t citting into it.

Thanks for any help

Trying to decipher the last sentence I'd guess you've used the chain whilst blunt,

It's heated up and case hardened/blued the metal making it harder than the file.

Watch the vid that Darrin put up, throw the chain away and buy a new one.
