Should imagine these are a ball ache to cut? Drove past one yesterday and got me wondering if anybody has any experience with this type of tree?

I reduced multi stemmed one once, not a biggie but it had been topped previously, used ladders to get in the canopy and wore a lot of clothing.

Didn't cut and hold much as I recall

Only use old gear, everything will be covered in a sawdust resin....... Oh yeah leathers rather than chainsaw spec trousers and jacket..... Or better still sub it out..... And the timber is very heavy.......and then you have the headache of every turner for 50 miles on the scrounge🗣

Never done a chilean pine before, would it be that different from any other jaggy conifer??

Dunno!

Do not under estimate them

They are the worst things to work on, there is nothing on them that's not excessively sharp, scratchy, sticky or all three, handle the brash with thick gloves or a pitchfork because even the fronds have sharp edges that will slice you up.
